A portrait of the diver, Lawson Smith, who photographed the submarine Thetis after it sunk during tests. A Leica camera was tied inside his helmet so that the trigger came between his teeth, the film was wound on using his lips. Original Publication: Picture Post - 203 - Thetis - pub. 1939
